Light and Darkness

Bright like the clearness of a cloudless sky,
Apparent to them that perceive with eye,
Not only by body, but more in mind.
I reflect and guide, that none may be blind.

I show the path to the blindness untold,
Suffered most not by body, but by soul.
A fearful mist even to them that see,
For I drown the swimmer in moon-lit sea.

Doom draws near, one or other man must choose:
Light without last, or restless night and lose.
